At DC Roofing Sussex, we are committed to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, subcontractors, clients, and the general public. As a company working at height, we recognise the additional risks involved and implement strict measures to maintain a safe working environment.
Our Commitment
DC Roofing Sussex will:
- Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
- Provide and maintain safe working conditions, equipment, and systems of work.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to minimize hazards associated with working at height.
- Ensure that all employees and subcontractors receive appropriate health and safety training, including working at height procedures and emergency protocols.
- Provide suitable personal protective equipment (PPE), such as harnesses, helmets, and fall arrest systems, and ensure they are used correctly.
- Regularly inspect and maintain all safety equipment, scaffolding, and access platforms.
- Establish clear procedures for reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Encourage a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among all workers.
Responsibilities
- Management is responsible for implementing and monitoring this policy and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Supervisors must oversee daily operations, conduct safety checks, and enforce safe work practices.
- Employees and Subcontractors must take personal responsibility for their safety and the safety of others within the working environment, follow procedures, and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
Review and Monitoring
This Health and Safety Statement will be reviewed annually or as necessary to reflect changes in legislation, work practices, or company operations. DC Roofing Sussex is dedicated to continuously improving our health and safety performance.
